A Witches Wag by Zahanya Talati

Keeping with the workshops we're having, we have a special Children's feature this week as 8-year-old Zahanya Talati gives us a rhyme about a witch.

Once in a spooky land
There lived a witch very grand
She had white, curly hair
Like a giant Polar bear!

She put a skull on her flag
And went sailing off to a land
Where the trees could talk and walk
And the vultures scream and squawk

Every day she ate a lot
Till she grew as fat as a pot!
There she married FooFoo Fumo
A wizard as big as a Sumo!

They went off to their honeymoon
To the round, shiny, white Moon
Where the days were light and white
And the nights were very bright

So, if you look up the sky
Wave and say a big HI
To Mrs Witch and her husband
Who now live in Moonland!

So the next 22nd July
When you look up at the sky
Do remember to wave
And shout out a big ‘hi!’
